Even science agrees....you literally can’t spoil a baby!
Babies who experience skin-to-skin are proven to have:
🧠 Higher IQs
💰 Earn higher wages
🔋 Less hyperactivity
😡 Less aggression
🤒 Less likely to have school absences
😭 Decreased crying
❤️Better cardio-respiratory stability
The simple act of holding your baby has significant positive effects for many weeks after birth. Holding your baby during painful medical procedures like vaccinations and heel pricks significantly reduces your baby’s experience of pain, according to a significant body of research on the subject. Skin-to-skin also has substantial effects on a baby’s ability to breastfeed well, and regardless of feeding method, holding babies absolutely helps parents bond and form deep and lasting attachments.

💙💗Baby Loss Awareness💗💙
Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place from 9th to 15th October each year, providing an opportunity for parents, families and whanau around New Zealand to come together and remember the lives of their babies who have become angels too soon! .
ICE banded together with huggable_hearts several years ago now to create these special baby loss awareness beads - coloured in pink and blue to signify those precious wee angels who have passed on - each bead is $30 + post and $15 from each bead will go directly to huggable hearts, a not for profit organization who create fabric hearts in the birth weight of your angel baby. .
While our Baby Loss beads are available all year round via the website, making it easy to show support whenever and where ever,
we like to make special note at this time of year in memory of those little loves lost far too soon. 😞 xx
So please, if youre able to support this amazing cause, click on the link to our website (in bio) then seach ‘huggable hearts’ and purchase your huggable heart baby loss bead.. i know the support will not go unnoticed 💙💗
My baby is the kinda baby people love to sniff. They all think it’s that "baby smell" but secretly it’s the babysebamednz Gentle Wash & Lotion. If you want lots of baby sitters and a baby care routine that is 100% soap and alkali free, balanced to pH5.5, hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested then look out for the Baby Sebamed products on your countdown_nz supermarket shelves! Meika Belle approved. 🌸 #babysebamednz #countdownsupermarketnz #crueltyfree #soapfree #sensitiveskin #gentleskincare
I know this may seem odd. But y'all I don't care lol.
Yesterday we were out and about and at one point Baby Boy was up front with me while we waited in the parking lot. He was moving around so much that my shirt came up a bit and I noticed how stinkin white my stomach is compared to his skin! The rest of me is tan, you can kinda see my leg.
Anyway. Just thought it was funny. My 8 month old baby has a better tan than me! Lol
Mamas out there, do you tan your bellies after baby? Let me know!

J rubbed my tummy & asked “is that my baby sister?”. Curious, I took the test. Positive. It took more tests, a GP, ultrasounds + a midwife for me to believe this. January 25th I surprised your daddy & J. Our final piece of our family puzzle. Seeing our healthy baby growing & that beautiful strong heart beat made the following all the more harder. March 6th we ended up in hospital scared & confused. 2 hours in, an ultrasound confirmed what I knew deep down.. you were gone. That beautiful heart beat was no longer beating. The look on your dads face broke my heart into a million pieces and if heart break had a face, that is it. That’s all I seen. Your brothers reaction truly destroyed me. He was so in love with you already, you were in his words “MY baby sister”. I’ve put myself through the “should of, could of, would of” but an unfortunate truth I’ve had to ground myself with, is that 25% of women experience this and some more than once. I was so naive to think it would never happen to me. But I’m here and I’m speaking our truth for closure. jordainewixon you truly are my winning lotto ticket and our beautiful son is our bonus. The strength of our positive minds as a family has pulled me through. To our tight circle please know nothing went unnoticed. The love has been REAL. My perfect nephew Cairo, you have healed Aunty in so many ways.
I was ready to ride this out on my own in silence and I’m so glad I didn’t. I’m always here for anyone that needs an ear, shoulder or hug wether it’s about a miscarriage or how much you hate your job. If your gig is to keep your things private, that’s cool too, but look after that mental state fam. To our rainbow baby, we can’t wait to meet you one day 🌈🥰💛 but in the meantime I’m grateful to have my little J to love and raise as I know people spend their whole life longing for that and I can’t sympathise enough with any of you, because after the past few weeks we’ve had I now understand.. there is a unique pain that comes from preparing a place in your heart for a baby that never comes.
